About Kiki & Spero

In the fall of 2024, I taught myself how to hand‑make a lap quilt—and nothing has been the same since. What started as a single project quickly became a full‑blown creative awakening. I bought my first sewing machine, and within weeks I had stitched seventeen more lap quilts for guests at a fall retreat. Somewhere between the hum of the machine and the quiet rhythm of cutting, pressing, and piecing, I discovered a joy I hadn’t known I was missing.

From there, the making never stopped. I began creating anything and everything that blended beauty with everyday usefulness—pieces meant to be touched, loved, lived with. And as my shelves filled, I realized I couldn’t possibly keep it all… but I could share it.

Along the way, I also fell head‑over‑heels for fabric itself. Vintage treasures, modern prints, premium textiles—I adore collecting and curating them. Fabrics carry stories, moods, memories, and a little magic. They spark ideas before they even become something new. The thrill of combining colors, textures, and patterns never grows old.

Kiki & Spero was born from that magic. My hope is simple: to take the ordinary moments of life and brighten them with a touch of whimsy. To craft pieces that make someone pause, smile, and feel a bit more joy in the everyday. Everything I sew is made with intention, delight, and a belief that small, beautiful things can uplift a whole day.

Kiki & Spero is named after two powerful pieces of my heart.
Kiki, my heart‑dog—a spirited Australian Cattle Dog and Chihuahua mix—was a companion unlike any other. The bond we shared shaped my life in ways I still carry with me every day. And Spero, meaning hope in Latin, reflects something equally foundational: the hope that has guided me, sustained me, and woven itself into my life and creative journey for many years. Together, Kiki & Spero represents love, resilience, joy, and the belief that beauty can rise from the simplest places.

This brand is my way of stitching that joy and hope into the world. My mission is to bring a touch of whimsy to daily life—through curated fabric and my pieces made with intention, care, and a spark of magic. Everything I create is designed to be used, loved, and welcomed into your everyday rhythm.
